Why choose us?
Bilpin Public School is a comprehensive, secular and inclusive primary school. Like many other schools in the Hawkesbury, we are a small but mighty school. The care given to each of our students goes above and beyond, and every teacher and school leader aims to build a strong positive relationship with each child in our school. Each of the 11 small schools across the Hawkesbury & Windsor networks closely collaborate and we regularly join with these schools for camps, sporting events and enrichment activities.
We value relationships - with each other, our students and our families. We work closely with parents to develop learning plans where required for both students who display high potential and those who need support. We elicit community feedback every year which we use to inform our strategic planning. Our P&C is a thriving, supportive group and we work closely with them to both build community connections and raise funds to support student growth and learning.
Our school offers programs in guitar, environmental education, digital technology, and various sports. Our size means that students have more opportunities to be part of these programs as we are able to include and develop every child that shows interest.
We are proud of the fact that our students who have moved on to Colo High School (CHS) in the last few years are regularly represented in the CHS Annual Awards, chosen as school leaders and have their work displayed in ArtExpress - we set our students up for success.
Bilpin Coaches provide a bus service for our school that picks up our students in the morning and drops them off on the afternoon. This is a highly personalised service that ensures student safety and convenience for parents. Transport to and from our school couldn't be easier.
We have an onsite OOSH for out-of-hours care run by Inspire. They run fun activities with the students and do their homework. This provides our students with a place to socialise after school, in a safe environment.
Located in a shale cap forest area the school has a focus on nurturing the environment. We have beautiful established garden areas that look stunning throughout the year, and our school is full of lizards and bird life. Caring for our school environment forms a key part of our ethos and one way students learn responsibility and citizenship.
If you have any questions about what it means and feels like to be a BPS student or parent, give us a call. Mrs Buchan will happily show you around our school and answer any questions you may have.
